I wrote a press release announcing the ground breaking innovations Mimica’s temperature-sensitive indicator label brought to reduce food waste. This food label helps you store food at the right temperature, and reduces food waste by accurately alerting of spoiled food.

 

Race for the cure goes virtual for 2020 event.

Due to the progression of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the 2020 Susan G. Komen Twin Cities Race for the Cure was held virtual. I was tasked with creating an event plan that would allow the organization to connect with the public in new – virtual – way, and garner media attention.

In my Advertising in Society class, students were asked to write a paper examining advertising ethics in society. I investigated the relationship between brands using unattainable beauty standards and women’s relationship with their body.

For Mass Media and Pop Culture class, we were tasked with analyzing a pop culture trend. I chose to analyze the black culture trends appropriated by white women in the media.

In Professional Writing for Strategic Communications, I was assigned to write a blog post relevant to the new COVID-19 reality to promote “U’study’s” newest courses. Fueled by my passion for health and wellness, I wrote a blog post promoting 3 Productivity Tips to help you earn your degree from home - stress free.

 

Mall of America hosts Colton Underwood: Media Alert.

I was required to write a media alert for my Professional Writing in Strategic Communications class. The event I was assigned was Mall of America hosting Bachelor star, Colton Underwood for the signing of his new book, “The First Time.”

 

Home is where the everything is #doeverything for Alo Yoga : Storyboard.

This assignment posed the task of communicating about a new way of operating during the next year for Alo Yoga. This ad focuses on women ages 28 to 40 years old. These women are go-getters adjusting to work from home. These women are goal-orientated, motivated and despite the recent world-shift due to Corona virus, they are motivated to do their best work and stay in shape.
